Wiggle Alternatives: Where To Shop Online For Bike Stuff

This page may contain affiliate links – they are marked with a *. Making a purchase via my affiliate means I receive a small share of the sale.

When it came to shopping online for bike stuff, Wiggle was usually where it was at. Their prices were competitive (too competitive?!), delivery was fast and if you were lucky, you’d get a free bag of Haribo sweets with your order.

Of course, online shopping isn’t the be-all and end-all; if you’re lucky enough to have a bike shop local to you, then please do support them when you can! I’m super lucky to have Giant Loughton less than a mile from my home.

If you don’t have a bike shop local, then online can be super handy. I’ve put together this list of the best alternatives for bike stuff now that Wiggle isn’t nearly what it used to be.

Sigma

I first used Sigma Sports to purchase my Bike Box Alan back in 2020.

They’re not the cheapest, but they seem to have a decent range of products. You get free delivery over £60 or you can reserve and collect from one of their stores if you’re local.

Tredz Bikes

I haven’t used Tredz often, but I did just buy some pedals from them for my new gravel bike.

They give you free delivery on orders over £20, which is a bargain. When you buy online with Tredz you can also choose to collect your items from one of their retail stores at a time that suits you.

Amazon

As we know, there’s nothing that Amazon don’t sell. Now. it’s very rare that I find them to have the best price for cycling stuff, but it does happen.

With Amazon Prime, you’ll probably never have to pay delivery though… on anything.

Decathlon

Over recent years, Decathlon have started to sell more and more branded products as well as their own lines (which are pretty decent too).

You can order online and / or order for collection from one of their stores if you live close.

There is also Bikeinn, but they ship from Spain so it can be pretty slow. I’ve heard that you need to keep your order under £135 to avoid paying any extra taxes too.

What Happened to Wiggle (& Chain Reaction)?

Wiggle, aka, Wiggle CRC, aka Wiggle Chain Reaction Cycles ceased trading as we knew the brand in March 2024.

On the 13th March 2024, I received an email via Wiggles affiliate platform sharing that “We are reaching out to inform that “Wiggle will sadly be closing down all operations by end of March on their website …as they’ve gone into administration”.

Well, they actually shut up shop before the end of March.

And yes, while the (old website, on the old dot com domain with the old branding) still exists, it’s essentially just another facade for Evans Cycles as they’re both now owned by Frasers Group. The same people who own the likes of Sports Direct and House of Fraser.

Not a fan? Me neither really.
